"The Marvel of Cosmic Order: Quranic Insights and Scientific Realities"

Dear friends, the text is lengthy, so please take some time to read it carefully.

The Sun has been traveling in a fixed path through space at an average speed of 828,000 kilometers per hour, or 230 kilometers per second, for the past 4.6 billion years. Along with it, the entire solar system—including the eight planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune), 181 moons, and countless meteoroids made of rock, iron, and nickel—are all moving at the same speed.

However, there has never been an instance where any of these celestial bodies has deviated from its path or gone off course due to error. They all continue to follow their predetermined orbits and paths with remarkable precision and regularity.

If someone claims that these bodies move on their own without any guiding force or designer, it would be incorrect. There is no such thing as an automatic process; there must be a designer, law, or controller. Without a controller, such precise and consistent movement would not be possible. What do you all think about this?

The Moon is 384,402 kilometers away from Earth. Every day, the oceans on Earth undergo tidal changes due to the moon's influence, which helps maintain an appropriate amount of oxygen in the water for life, keeps the water clean, and prevents unpleasant odors. Coastal areas remain clean, and pollutants are carried away by ocean currents.

However, this is not the case! Instead, ocean water has a specific amount of salt. Over the past 3 billion years, the quantity of salts has neither increased nor decreased; rather, a balanced state has been maintained, ensuring that the water remains suitable for swimming and does not produce odors from decaying bodies. Saline and fresh water are kept separate by natural barriers, ensuring they do not mix.

What kind of wisdom is behind this remarkable system? Who maintains this balance? Is it the water's own design or the Moon's influence?

Fourteen centuries ago, when modern science did not exist, in the land of the Arabs where there were no schools or colleges, a man (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) received prophethood and read the Quranic verses about the sun and the moon:

"And the sun and the moon [move] by calculation."

(Surah Ar-Rahman: 5)

Meaning: The sun and the moon follow a precise calculation.

In another verse regarding the depths of the seas, the Quran says:

"Between them is a barrier that they do not transgress."

(Surah Ar-Rahman: 20)

Meaning: There is a barrier between them that keeps them separate.

When it was thought that stars were fixed in their positions, the Quran revealed the truth that:

"And each in a sphere is swimming."

(Surah Yaseen: 40)

Meaning: Everything is moving in its own orbit.

When the concept of the sun being stationary was prevalent, the Quran revealed the fact that:

"And the sun runs [its course] for a period determined for it by the Almighty, the Knowing."

(Surah Yaseen: 38)

Meaning: The sun follows a set path.

When the universe was thought to be a dome and the sky a blue roof, the Quran stated:

"And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander."

(Surah Adh-Dhariyat: 47)

Meaning: We are continually expanding the universe.

It also describes plant and animal life with:

"And We made from water every living thing."

(Surah Al-Anbiya: 30)

Meaning: All life comes from water.

Modern science may pride itself on discovering these principles of nature, but the Quran had already stated long before:

"You will not find any change in the creation of the Most Merciful."

(Surah Al-Mulk: 3)

Meaning: There is no disparity in the creation of the Most Merciful.

These Quranic facts, discovered fourteen centuries ago, affirm that the Quran is the word of Allah, that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is Allah’s true messenger, and that Allah alone is the Creator of the universe, which operates according to His immutable laws.

Who understands the newborns that, during hunger, the mother looks after them with dedication? Who gives the mother the courage to protect her child by braving all dangers? A mother facing a fierce eagle with its courage—where does she get this courage from? The chicks of a hen leave the nest and start running; how do they learn to avoid dangers from their mothers?

Who instills in animals the love that makes them feed their offspring while going hungry themselves? Where do they learn these aspects of life?

In the vast stretches of desert, the skilled bee collects nectar from every flower with extreme diligence and gathers it into its hive. Each bee knows which flowers are poisonous and which are not. They also understand the art of separating honey and wax. When it is hot, the bee uses its wings to cool the hive to protect the honey. The structures of bees are so remarkable that they astonish even the greatest engineers. Each bee has a radar system installed that can detect distant sources of nectar but does not forget the way back home. How do they learn these methods of life? Where do they get this intelligence?

Similarly, the spider creates webs with such precision that modern engineers cannot replicate. How do spiders learn to build such intricate webs?

Ants gather food for winter and build homes for their young, organizing their activities in an astonishing manner. How do they learn these management principles?

Even within plants, their life cycles are equally fascinating. How do they sustain themselves and ensure their survival over thousands of years? Who teaches them these life strategies?

Considering only DNA, human reason cannot help but acknowledge the existence of Allah.

Is the Earth so intelligent that it has set up its own self-regulating system of day and night, and established a balance where it tilts itself by 23.5 degrees to ensure that the seasons change throughout the year—sometimes summer, sometimes winter, sometimes autumn, and sometimes spring—so that the inhabitants always get fresh vegetation, fruits, and food throughout the year?

Has the Earth, by itself, established a magnetic system running north to south, so that the effects of the changing weather are balanced? For example, the greenhouse gas Nitrous Oxide, which is responsible for warming the Earth, is converted into rain, providing natural moisture for plants. Ships, submarines, and airplanes navigate with the help of this magnetic system, and the atmospheric radiation from the sky is reflected back, allowing Earth's creatures to stay protected from harmful effects and continue living.

The Earth, the Sun, the atmosphere, mountains, and plains together regulate the relationship with the ocean so that the Sun’s heat evaporates the water, leaving heavy salts back in the sea. The air, composed of distilled water, is carried to the mountains and plains. In winter, this water is stored as snow on high mountains, and in summer, when the snow melts, it forms waterfalls. This water then flows into rivers to quench the thirst of distant people, irrigate their fruits, gardens, vegetables, pastures, and crops.

During rainfall, the particles from the stars mix with the existing water in the clouds, forming droplets. This makes the rain capable of providing moisture to hilly areas and dry plains. When there is less need for water in winter, it accumulates as snow on mountains. In summer, when more water is needed, the snow melts and supplies rivers and streams, which eventually flow back to the ocean.

Such a magnificent balanced system ensures that everything is irrigated and nothing is wasted.

Consider: Is this also the thinking of the stars, the atmosphere, and the Earth?

The human pancreas does not allow a specific amount of sugar in the blood to increase. The heart pump circulates blood through the body at a regulated and systematic rate of 70 to 80 times per minute. Over a 75-year lifespan, it pumps blood approximately three billion times without repair.

Our kidneys are unmatched and remarkable filters that ensure beneficial substances in the blood are retained and waste products are expelled. The stomach processes complex chemical compounds from food, such as proteins and carbohydrates, by separating them and sending them to the blood while removing waste products.

The engineering of the human body, the examples set by science, and the amazing mechanisms of the body leave one wondering: were these all created just by chance?

Who created the brain? It serves as a repository of wisdom, the center of knowledge, intentions, and commands. It is the link between humans and their environment, functioning like a computer whose potential and design are not yet fully understood. Despite countless efforts, the human brain and mind are beyond the reach of any computer even to this day.

Every human is a collection of cells. Though they are so tiny that they cannot be seen without a microscope, they all have a specific purpose. Each cell in the human body has consciousness and plays a role in the overall personality. Our genetic code contains our entire programming, guiding our lives according to this program. Our complete record of life, our personality, and our intellect are written into these cells. Whether in animals or plants, the complete blueprint is contained within them. Who designed this blueprint? Who is responsible for this programming?

The human body and its abilities are astonishing and the vast, complex network behind its functions is a testament to a higher power. The movement of the organs, the function of the tongue, and the vocal cords, as well as the ability to produce meaningful sounds in various dialects and accents, all indicate a precise design and purpose. Who is behind these extraordinary signs and truths? It is the will of Allah, the One God.
