Imam Bukhari's mother had a dream one night. That Syedna Ibrahim came and gave the good news that Allah has fixed your son's eyes. So when She awoke in the morning, She saw that his son's eyes were bright.
Imam Bukhari says: I was memorizing the Qur'an, I became interested in memorizing hadith. I was ten years old when I During this time I memorized the Qur'an and read some books at the beginning.
After that I started going to different teachers. So one day I went to Imam Al-Dakhli, and he was narrating hadith to the students present.
He narrated a hadith in this way. That is, Sufyan narrated it from Abdu al_Zubier, and he narrated it from Ibrahim. So I said: Abu al-Zubair does not narrate from Ibrahim. Imam al-Dakhli scolded me for this. So I said if you have the original version of the book, look at it. So they went home. After seeing the original prescription, he addressed me and said: O boy, how did you say that? I had said: Abu Al-Zubair does not narrate from Ibrahim but Sufyan narrates from Zubair. And Zubair is the son of Udai. And he narrates from Ibrahim.
He grabbed the pen and corrected the mistake in his book. Because it was Abu Al-Zubair who was actually Zubair bin Udai. And it was written wrong in the book of Imam Al-Dakhli.At that time someone asked Imam Bukhari says that while how old were you when you caught mistake of Imam al-Dakhli? Imam Bukhari replied: Eleven years.

Therefore, Hashid bin Isma'il says that Imam Bukhari used to come to the Mashaikh of Basra with us to get the hadith.
He was in his childhood at that time Sixteen days had passed. The friends of Imam Bukhari said: Why don't you write the hadith? Imam Bukhari said: You bring your own copies. We took out our copies, and we Used to edit their copies.
This incident revealed that Imam Bukhari's memory was very sharp in his childhood. It was also found out that he had acquired a lot of knowledge at a young age. Allah Almighty had given Imam Bukhari a strong mind and strong memory. Imam Bukhari himself says: I have memorized one hundred thousand authentic hadiths and two hundred thousand non-authentic hadiths.
Imam Bukhari says:
I know the place of his birth and the year of his death.
Once someone presented to Imam Bukhari the saying of his teacher Ishaq bin Rahawiyah۔
I look at seventy thousand hadiths.
Hearing this, Imam Bukhari said: there is a person at that time who sees two hundred thousand hadiths in his books !!!.
Although Imam Bukhari did not reveal his name, it was meant to point to himself.
Exam of Imam Bukhari: Once Imam Bukhari went to Baghdad. The ulama of baghdad gathered there and made a program to test Imam Bukhari. The method of examination was decided that there would be ten scholars. And ten hadiths were given to each scholar. Then each scholar changed the chain and text. He mixed the text of one chain of transmission with another chain of transmission. He combined another chain of transmission with another chain of transmission. In this way, they mixed the text and the chain of transmission of one hundred hadiths. Then Imam Bukhari was called and each of them recited his own ten hadiths.
Imam Bukhari replied: I do not know any of them. After that Imam Bukhari recited ten mixed hadiths of these ten scholars again and recited them again by mixing the text of their authentic chain of transmission.
The incident has been narrated by Hafiz Ibn Hajar in his Sanad. And he commented on it as follows. It is not a surprise to narrate a saheeh hadeeth, but it is a wonder that Imam Bukhari listened to one hundred inverted hadeeths only once and later memorized them in the correct order and repeated them orally.
Hafiz Ibn Hajar has narrated another similar incident. He writes:
There were four muhaddiths in Samarkand. At one point, he confused the Syrian Asnaad with the Iraqi Asnaad and the Iraqi Asnaad with the Syrian Asnaad. Given to Bukhari. Imam Bukhari corrected them all separately. He thought that in this way he would catch the mistake of Imam Bukhari. But despite his best efforts, he could not catch a single mistake.
Usaid bin Abu Ja'far says: One day Imam Bukhari said to me ... how many ahaadeeth I heard in Basra and wrote them in Syria. I asked Imam Bukhari, "Do you keep writing complete hadiths like this?" Imam Bukhari remained silent. (to be continued)
